Beyond Evil (Dennis Densland Okoemu)

… All alone in my room, leaned my back against the wall with nothing to do…

It was a Saturday morning after an enjoyable night rest, woke up to the morning sun, did all my morning routine, from prayers to brushing my teeth, then my favorite part of the morning, breakfast. 🙂

What has a man got to do?

A man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. This could have been a case of “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop”. Instead, I changed the story: “an idle mind, is the writers workshop.”

As you read this, my good friend, I still don’t have a topic in mind about what to write on. But you’d agree with me that this is getting interesting…

               —Few Seconds Later—

Just then, something hit me (no need to panic) it’s not hit per say. I’m talking about an idea that struck me.

All these while I’ve been writing, I really didn’t notice I was creating a masterpiece.
Come to think of it, if you take time to read back, you’ll notice some key messages in all I’ve written so far.

I need no evil thoughts spoil my day. I’m not a saint though. Here I am doing one of the things I love, writing. No wonder they say there’s power in the pen.

Relatively, same thing I tell my friends during tests and exams, dinner l some tell me, “Densland, I just don’t know what to write o… This test/exam go cast big time.”

Then I recalled one unique reply I always give… “Ones you put your pen on the answer booklet, ideas will surely come.”

And I tell you my friend, that is so true cause I’m a living testimony.

But, I tell you this, if you bank on what I just said and kick your books to the curb, hehehe (I laugh in Swahili😂) you’re On Your Own o.  #OYO for you.

I think I’m beginning to say much now, but all the same, trust your instincts, know when to do good and when to avoid evil, don’t ever let your guard down.

Right about now, you can attest to the fact that the pen is really powerful.
I picked up my pen with no idea of what to write, but in the end, I was able to put down 2 and a half pages of meaningful message…

Till next time, when I pick my pen again… So long fellas
