Conrad Murray ‘demanded $290k to spill Michael Jackson’s secrets’ on I’m A Celebrity

Reports have emerged that Michael Jackson’s former doctor, Conrad Murray, is in talks about appearing on ITV hit show, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Doctor Conrad Murray was released after serving two years of his four-year jail term for causing involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson’s death

The personal physician of the late King of Pop – who was charged with involuntary manslaughter following the singer’s death and sentenced to four years in jail – is said to have demanded £230,000 ($290,000) from the show’s bosses to appear on the 2016 series.

It was first reported that the 63-year-old doctor was to receive £200,000 to take part in bush tucker trials involving creepy crawlies and becoming a campmate – but it is now claimed he is asking for more money due to possessing “medical skills”.

A source told DENSDOME: “Murray is trying to pull out all the stops to get more money.

“He thinks that ITV can help solve his finance issues. And the doctor idea is one of the ways that he feels that they can bolster his money.

“Murray has also promised that he will reveal secrets about Jackson to help make the show ‘explosive’ and gain headlines worldwide,” they added.

Doctor Conrad Murray has claimed that Michael Jackson’s paramedics were ‘sluggish’ at the time of his overdose

ITV has since denied ever inviting Jackson’s former doctor to join the Australia-based show.
A spokesperson for ITV told IBTimes UK: “We have never approached this man to be a contestant on I’m A Celebrity. This story is simply not true.”

Murray only served two of his four year sentence. His name became known worldwide in 2009 following the Smooth Criminal singer’s death at the age of 50 – just a few weeks after Murray began working for him.

Murray was banned from practising medicine and has always protested his innocence, claiming: “I was an innocent man unjustly accused and then incarcerated.” Murray is said to have fathered seven children by six different women.

Michael Jackson’s brother Jermaine hit out at the initial reports linking Murray to the show earlier this year.
He tweeted in July: “I urge @itv to maintain sense of decency & not use Michael’s death/killer for sick entertainment value. Despicable to even consider it.”
