5 THINGS: How to live like a millionaire even as a peasant

A warm good morning to all you DENSDOME readers out there. On today’s episode of 5 THINGS our team of editors will be highlighting the possible/sure ways for everyone to live the life of a millionaire and even better.

As the old saying goes, health is wealth. But, even the wealthy might not live a healthy life as we think.

So, without much talking, here are 5 RULES FOR BETTER HEALTH.


  • LESS MEAT, MORE VEGETABLE:



    Over 70% of the world population today, would rather prefer to eat meat than vegetable. Unlike the days of old when what we so called “poverty” was rampant, all families prayed for was daily bread. If you happen to come from an average family of 6 and above, in most cases, to make matters worse, an extended family, you’ll understand what it means to feed a great multitude.

    So, what better way to keep this growing family population nourished and refreshed, vegetable always was the answer. If you’re the type that takes notes of past, recall and compare the “Meat Eating Family” who couldn’t afford a full pot of soup, but always looks to fill it with meat come what may to the “Vegetable Eating Family” whose joy comes from the full  satisfaction from mommy’s pot. As the old saying goes, “make enough soup, when the pounded yam is finished, we lick the soup.”  

    So has this demand for meat than vegetables lived long till this day. 

    • LESS SUGAR, MORE FRUITS

    Sugar as we know it promotes information. Inflammation which is part of the immune system response, is not always a bad thing. But eating sugary foods can fuel excessive, inappropriate inflammation that serves no useful purpose and actually promotes aging in disease.

    Daily intake of fruits and veggies are nutritious in any form – fresh, frozen, canned, dried and 100% juice. Fruits and veggies provide fiber that helps fill you up and keep your digestive system happy.

    Low on calories, eating plenty of fruits may help reduce the risk of many diseases, including heart disease, high blood pressure and some cancer.
    LESS DRIVING, MORE WALKING

    This, without a shadow of a doubt, is self explanatory. Driving often and walking less is not the best for any man.

    Take time out to walk around, at least 15 minutes daily, that way, you can burn out up to 2 calories. Now, think how fit you would look within the next 2 months when you burn 2 calories daily.
    LESS WORRY, MORE SLEEP

    Those knots in your stomach could be more than just an uneasy feeling. Chronic stress can impact the hormones released by your thyroid glands, which regulate your metabolism among other things. If these hormones get off track, it can lead to constipation. 

    Don’t be surprised, the side effects that comes from stress of worry could be worse than the worry itself.

    Sleep on the other hand, a good sleep by the way reduces nerve stress. An average human being should have at least 6 hours of sleep daily.

    LESS ANGER, MORE LAUGHER

    This is no longer news, as it is said, less anger, live longer (lol) I just made that up. But seriously, the expression on our faces when we’re angry tells it all, keep that wrinkled face up, oldage would definitely wake you up.

    But if you can wake up everyday and put a smile on your face, folks, there’s nothing like it.
